Lorrie Lewis
I was raised in northern Wyoming and received my degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming. I’m married to a research scientist working at USU. We have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
When my daughter went away to college, she found 2 fair trade stores in East Lansing, Michigan. Every gift for the next several years was a fair-trade item and our family became educated about the importance of fair trade in the world. I was especially concerned about the truth behind the production of chocolate and became dedicated to buying only fair-trade chocolate from reputable producers.
I moved to Logan 7 years ago with my husband and declared myself a retired CPA which resonated with Sally Keller when she heard about me. She recruited me for a volunteer at Global Village Gifts where I soon learned the store bookkeeping routine. I have now been with GVG for 7 years as the bookkeeper and 3 years on the board of directors. I am still learning about fair trade and promoting fair trade chocolate wherever I go.
I’m very happy to live in a community where people saw a need to bring fair trade to those not yet familiar with the concept. Serving along others at the only fair-trade store in Utah is a real pleasure.
Julie Barker
Julie grew up overseas until she attended Utah State University. She met her husband in the Philippines, and he is now employed at USU. She has three children and three grandchildren with one more on the way....
She's had a long time relationship with Global Village. Working with Sally Keller, Founder of GVG, she has been affiliated with GVG from the early years and she continues to volunteer until present day. She's worn many different hats in the organization. She was instrumental in moving the store into its current location into the Champ House. She loves fair trade!

Being a part of the Global Village Board is an honor and joy. This is a wonderful group of people who all share a love of Fair Trade.
