Come join us for another Gallery Walk! This month’s Gallery Walk will be September 23rd, from 6 to 9 PM. The artist being featured this month is Victoria Johnson.
Victoria Johnson is a Logan-based fine art photographer with work that explores human relationships with memory, time, and space. Their work is inspired by the New Topographics movement, which provides an unromanticized view into a modernized version of traditional depictions of landscapes. For Johnson, the beauty in these spaces comes from their childhood. Growing up in Brazil, they have always been interested in the overall aesthetics of suburbia that were presented to them through early 2000s Hollywood media.
Each of their photographs peels back layers of the American dream, leaving behind questions about privacy, use of resources, and architectural homogeneity.
